Peter Sawchuk:
Investigator for the case study "Technological Change and Worker
Learning in the Public Sector" Peter H. Sawchuk is one
of the original members of the Centre for the Study of Education and Work
and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology & Equity
Studies in Education (OISE/UT). He also teaches at the Centre for Industrial
Relations (University of Toronto). His research is focused on the sociology
of work and learning, trade union studies and technology. He is currently
leading funded research projects in keeping with these foci in partnership
with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), the Ontario Public
Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and the United Steelworkers of America
(USWA). He is the current chair of the International Advisory Committee
for the Researching Work and Learning conference series, and on the editorial
board of the Journal of Workplace Learning. Details on these matters as
